Video Center

Scheduled conversations with adults, set up by the school or program.

Mentoring, interview practice, advising, workshops and job shadow sessions all run here. Adults are screened and approved before they can be scheduled with a student, and there is no private, unmonitored channel between an adult and a student anywhere in the platform.

This is for scheduled, supervised conversations. It is not a social feed or an open chat network.

Session types

Conversations that move a student forward

Every session type has its own rules for who may attend and how it is supervised.

Mentoring

Conversations with screened adults about a career area, arranged through StudentRecruit Mentor Champions™.

Interview practice

A structured practice interview so a student can rehearse answering questions before it counts.

Advising and planning

Time with school or program staff about coursework, pathways and what comes after graduation.

Workshops and group sessions

Small-group sessions run by staff or an approved partner on a specific topic.

Job shadowing

A guided look at how a workplace actually operates, scheduled rather than arranged privately.

Recorded career videos

Career media a program makes available to its own students in the right age band.

Safeguards

Supervised by design

  • Sessions are arranged by the school or program, never privately between an adult and a student.
  • Only screened, approved adults can be scheduled with a student.
  • Students know who will be there and what the session is for before they join.
  • Families are involved for younger students, and any concern can be raised at any time.

Afterwards

Where a session leads next

The student

A history of the sessions they joined and what each was for, plus interview practice results that point to what to work on next.

The organization

Scheduled, supervised conversations for its own students, with clear summaries for planning. What is kept is limited to what the session was for.

The same safeguarding standards apply everywhere adults and students interact.
