Data Rights, Export and Deletion

You can see what StudentRecruit holds about you, take a copy of it, correct it, or ask for it to be deleted. This page explains how each request works and how long it takes.

At a glance

  • Requests are made from Privacy and consent settings inside the app, and you can watch the status change.
  • A student, a linked guardian, or the organization on the student's behalf may make a request.
  • Export includes portfolio records, evidence, credentials, simulation results, media list and session history.
  • Deletion removes content; a small amount of safety and audit information is kept because it exists for accountability.

Plain-language summaries are provided to help you read the policy. The full sections below are the policy itself.

Access and correction

You can see everything on your record and ask for a correction if something is wrong.

  • Self reported items can be edited by the student directly.
  • Verified items are corrected by the verifier, and the correction is logged.
  • A guardian can request a correction on behalf of a student.

Export

An export is a portable copy of your record, including credential files you can take elsewhere.

  • Credentials export in Open Badges 3.0 and CLR 2.0 compatible structures.
  • Portfolio, evidence, skills, StudentRecruit Virtual Intern results and session history are included.
  • Requests are acknowledged immediately and the status moves through verifying, in progress and complete.

Deletion

Deletion removes your content from the product. Where a record is a school record, your organization may need to approve it first.

  • The organization is notified so it can meet its own recordkeeping obligations.
  • Safety reports, moderation decisions and audit events are retained in a minimized form.
  • Withdrawing guardian consent immediately stops the affected feature even before deletion finishes.

Who to contact

Start inside the app. If you cannot reach the setting, use the addresses below.

  • Privacy and data requests: privacy@studentrecruit.demo.
  • Safety concerns: safety@studentrecruit.demo.
  • Students in a school program can also ask their counselor or program staff to file the request for them.
Review ready, not a compliance claim

Written so your counsel can review it

These documents are structured for a FERPA and COPPA review by a school district, Job Corps center, nonprofit, workforce agency, college or employer network. StudentRecruit does not claim automatic compliance, certification, or an approved status with any regulator. Your organization decides whether this architecture meets its obligations, and your agreement with StudentRecruit governs your organization's workspace.
